Your Wedding Day
at Sugar Loaf Barn
We keep things relaxed and flexible, so you can plan a wedding that feels completely personal.
You’re free to bring in your own suppliers — whether that’s your favourite street food truck, a local florist, or a friend with a playlist and a knack for keeping the dance floor full. No set formulas, no pushy packages — just the freedom to do things your way, on your terms.
To keep it simple, we offer one weekend-long package that includes all our lovely on-site accommodation. Giving you extra time to settle in, make memories, and soak it all up with your favourite people. It’s all about celebrating in a way that feels true to you — relaxed, joyful, and completely unforgettable. As a family-run venue, we’re here to make the whole experience easy, friendly and full of those thoughtful little touches that help make your wedding feel like you.
Your Ceremony
Say ‘I Do’ with a view
Whether you’re exchanging vows under open skies with the Black Mountains behind you, or inside the barn framed by our beautiful oak doors, your ceremony will be every bit as unforgettable as the setting. Those big barn doors can swing open just after the "I dos" — letting the view flood in and the celebrations begin. We’re licensed to host ceremonies for up to 140 guests, with rustic cross-back padded chairs for your guests and a table set for signing the all-important paperwork. Prefer something more traditional? There are lovely local churches nearby if you'd like to make it official before heading back to the barn to celebrate in style.

Your Barn
Where the magic happens
At the heart of it all is our beautiful barn — once a working farm building, now reimagined for weddings. Set on the side of Sugar Loaf mountain, it’s full of character, with whitewashed floors, huge barn doors, and a hand-built bar ready for toasts.
Inside, festoon lights, wagon wheel chandeliers, and cosy seating nooks create a relaxed, rustic vibe. With a cocktail bar, big stage, toilets and a dance floor ready to go, the space is yours to make your own — with views that are anything but ordinary.

The little things matter
Food & Drink
As soon as you've said the "I dos" , the good stuff begins...
Food & Feasting
With welcome drinks served outside and views that stretch for miles. Think prosecco kissed with homemade sloe gin, bottles chilled in troughs, and cocktails garnished to perfection. Bring your own table wine and bubbles for the wedding breakfast (with no corkage!), or choose from our handpicked wine list. When it’s time to eat, the barn seats up to 140 for a relaxed, sociable feast. Choose your own caterer and make it yours — from laid-back sharing boards to formal dining, it’s all up to you.
Drinks & After Dark Bites
Our bar is well-stocked, sensibly priced, and ready to keep the good times flowing — with local favourites, homemade touches, plenty of gin, and a cocktail menu for those who fancy something a little fancy. Whether it’s a free bar or pay-as-you-go, your guests will be happy. As the party kicks off, your evening food can be served between the dancing — think wood-fired pizza, street food, or hog roast. Choose what you love and fuel the fun into the night.
Tractor Ride
From the moment your guests arrive, the experience begins…
They’ll be warmly welcomed and escorted from the car park by the resident farmer — our dad — in a custom-made trailer pulled by our gleaming New Holland Tractor.
It’s a one-of-a-kind journey, totally unique to our venue, and a fun, memorable way to kick off the celebrations.
For any elderly or less mobile guests, our John Deere Gator is on hand to provide a more accessible ride up to the barn.
Accommodation
Stay a little longer…
our weekend package includes on-site accommodation for up to 20 of your favourite people — perfect for stretching out the celebrations.
